CNS Guidebook

The CNS Guidebook is published annually, to provide new CNS
users with an overview of our computing facilities as well as important
information on using our systems.
The online version of our Guidebook is a dynamic, up-to-date view
of the Guidebook, including
all of the recent changes which will be incorporated into next
year's Guidebook.

The DOCWEB library is an extensive collection
of CNS-specific documentation covering all aspects of

CNS UNIX 101: An Introduction to Pine E-mail and Basic File Management
on CNS' NERSP UNIX Platform
- This 66-page document is meant to help you get started on NERSP
with as little fuss and bother as possible. It focuses on the handful
of essential, core tasks which most users need to do on a regular basis --
e-mail, and basic file management. It will not teach you to be a UNIX
wizard, but will give you enough information to get started using our
UNIX system, and gives pointers to additional information for those who
wish to explore further.
